Whaddya know?! My blog platform has built-in poll support! So I’m going to experiment with what might become a regular feature: Is it food?
Here’s today’s entry: Pillsbury Egg Scrambles.
Pillsbury describes this product as “Fluffy egg. Melty cheese sauce. Flavorful Green Giant® vegetables. Great flavors like sausage or bacon - is your mouth watering yet?”
So what say you? Is it food? I post … you decide ;).

Weight Maven is written by Beth Mazur. Beth believes that obesity is more symptom than cause and that the real problem is our Western diet -- especially sugar, refined grains, and industrial oils. Beth writes about nutrition, ancestral health, & food policy. And cats!
If you have to ask… It’s probably not food.
The soybean oil (especially hydrogenated soybean and cottonseed oil) was the breaking point for me.
The sodium content is a killer. It’s a food-like substance.
It’s a sad world when a person needs to buy pre-scrambled eggs. I make food like this at home, it’s quite easy. Preservatives and trans-fat not added. I prefer leaves and mushrooms to bellpeppers and onions, anyway. And butter! Geez, even the bacon has too many ingredients. Ick.
Mmm, gotta love the “under 0.5 grams per serving” rule… Then again, I hardly ever buy anything that would have hydrogenated ingredients in it to start with.
If this is all I could find on the shelves of a post-apocolyptic world, then I would smile and eat it, and then I would eat the cardboard parts of the box (to ensure I got ALL of the nutritional value).
Normally we walk past the aisle with this stuff on it.
I wish this was on Facebook so I could like this comment ;). Made me laugh!
