This one is quite a bit off-topic, but I saw that Just My Size was having a sale on their Glamorise bras and thought I’d pass it along. (I have no financial interest in Glamorise or JMS … I’m just a happy customer!)
The bra at right (their Magic Lift Plus Posture bra) is my fave. The hooks in front were a must when my mobility issues were at their worst and now I just prefer them. But the reason I decided to mention them here is that they are one of the very few reasonably priced line of bras that realizes that some of us ladies are well-endowed (many of their bras run up to a J cup size).
So, if you’re like I was, wearing a bra several band sizes too large because a DD doesn’t cut it (and per O, 85% of women are wearing the wrong size bra), you may want to give these a try. Another tip: I often wear one of these with a swim top for much better support than your average built-in.

I have to say, one of my biggest hurdles in getting active again was figuring out how to comfortably, *ahem*, accommodate my bust, which had only gotten larger because I was nursing. The Maia underwire sports bra by Moving Comfort (goes up to E cup) turned out to be a lifesaver for me. I know that a lot of folks do not like underwires, but this one has wide, comfortable straps and hasn’t caused any “digging” in problems with the wire or the straps for me (I usually have it on less than 2 hrs. anyway but it remains comfortable and supportive that whole time.) For me that underwire high support and modest neckline (this is not a cleavage-baring bra) allows me to go about my workout without a second thought. I own 3 of them, enough to get me through the week of workouts.
The Maia may not have a cup size range high enough for many bustier ladies, but there are other brands with larger ranges and similar designs. If there’s anything I learned with finding the right sports bra for me, it’s that trying out different brands and being open to having underwires in sports bras can yield some wonderfully supportive, comfortable, functional options. When in doubt, read the online reviews, and if able, go to try one on in-store.
I so appreciate having found the right sports bra for me that a) doesn’t give me an awkward looking uniboob, b) isn’t a spaghetti strapped confection designed with only B cups in mind, and c) will let me run, jump rope, and do plenty of other bouncy activities at Crossfit with nary a self-conscious jiggle. It’s affordable, too, many colors under $30 on Amazon. An affordable sports bra that does its job well made impact-involving exercising an option for me again!
