My mother got me this star sapphire ring for Christmas when I was 16 or 17.
I haven’t been able to wear it since I gained all my weight back (and then another 100 lbs) after she died in 1994.
It fits. Yay!

Congrats Beth!
You haven’t told us much of your personal journey. Glad it’s going well.
This is one of the nicest “non-scale victories” I have ever seen. Congratulations!
Allow me to add my “Yay!”
Way to go! It’s funny how sometimes fat loss comes from unexpected places. I recently had to move my wedding ring to my middle finger after it suddenly started falling off all the time.
It’s very pretty!
That is a great feeling and so nice to have a part of her with you all the time.
Thanks all!
Re my journey, at my advanced age, it’s a long-a**ed one! But one of these days I’ll share more … I’m waiting for the ‘after’ picture to look the way I want it to ;).
Awesome way to keep anchored in healthy habits and to keep your mom’s memory with you. Congrats.
Congratulations, Beth. That is a MAJOR milestone in my book! WTG!
must be a great feeling. i remember when i was up to 275 i couldnt wear my wedding ring anymore. it felt so great when i finally got it back on!
Congratulations on your milestone, your sapphire is beautiful and obviously means a lot to you…
I’m hoping that I’ll fit into my wedding rings soon, it’s been years.
What a wonderful milestone Beth! I’m so happy for you, I know how much things like this mean for us.
A genuinely heart-warming pic Beth - great stuff!
I wish you all the best on your continuing journey.
Cheers
Harry
Congratulations, Beth! I, too, would also love to hear your story (when you are ready to share, of course) because it’s probably very different from mine. But I’m pretty sure that the pain and victories are not that different-and am wishing you the best, one milestone at a time.
Hearty congratulations, Beth. Keep up the good work. My shining hour came when I could cross my legs — at the knee!
Congrats! I know she’s smiling down on you, proud of your success.
