Did well on my nutrition mid-term (phew!). Am once again entertaining the thought of more school … maybe even a horrible, irrevocable life choice ;).
To PhD or not to PhD, that is the question

ACK! More power to you. And all kinds of empathy.
I’m now in the throes of panic. Starting down the path to become a hospital chaplain, I hope. It requires special clinical pastoral training, plus one of the following: theology degree or applicable master’s degree. I have a master’s, but it will be a stretch to convince them that any of it’s applicable. Journalism. Not social work. Not psychology or counselling. Journalism. Worthless, I’m afraid. And I don’t know whether my brain works fast enough anymore for grad school.
Keep us posted on what happens. I would so love calling you Dr. Weight Maven.
LOL! I’m eyeballing a health communications PhD, so fortunately my MA in comm should count. And frankly, the only reason I’m considering the PhD is that I need to take the same number of academic credits for that as for the other degrees I’ve been scoping out (an MPH or MPP).
Best of luck!!
