So today’s annoying TV ad is for Uncle Ben’s Whole Grain White Rice. Sound like an oxymoron? Umm, yeah!
What are whole grains? They are:
cereal grains that contain cereal germ, endosperm, and bran, in contrast to refined grains, which retain only the endosperm.
So this product is a “whole grain” because they’ve taken white rice and added stuff that processing removed? This does not compute!

Juice with added fiber, “whole grain” white rice. If we don’t mangle foods to start with we don’t need things added. I’m with you…fewer whole grains. Have you read 4 hour body by the way?
I’ve been completely off grains for 2 1/2 months now; and I haven’t had a belly this flat since I was in sixth grade.
Also, the nagging pain in my thumbs (they are essential when you are a writer) is down considerably.
I don’t think grains, whole or otherwise, work for me.
