Logo funny

Gee, it’s been years since I last commented about a logo, but this is too hard to pass up.

Hat tip to Daily Kos, who also adds all the reasons that this logo “truly encapsulates what the Republican Party is all about.”

Wide stance? Check.

In Minneapolis? Check.

Prison stripe-wearing? Check.

Starry eyed? Check.

As for the elephant humping the “2008”…

Are they going for a “Still screwing the country in 2008” theme, or is it a reference to hypocritical adulterers like David Vitter and just about the entire Republican presidential field?

All of the above? Check!

Apparently they ran out of space for a collapsing bridge.

I get annoyed

So, I have a nasty habit of giving cashiers a bit o’ change with my cash in order to avoid getting tons o ‘change back. You know, like giving them $20.25 when the bill is $10.16. It really doesn’t bother me that more often than not, they have to resort to letting the cash register figure out my change.

No. What bothers me is when I walk up to the line with three cans of the same kind of cat food.

And they scan … each … can.

Listen, I know about the whole inventory thing, and that if I get tuna, salmon, and turkey, they need to scan each one so they know when tuna runs low.

But if I walk up there with three cans of tuna (or three of anything), I expect them to either do the 3 x 59 cents, or at a minimum, hit repeat last item twice times. I don’t know if the fault is in the cashier or the cash register, but this bugs me.

I know…I need some real problems.
