Congrats to UXnet!

Yahoo! No, whoops, I mean yippee!! Congratulations to UXnet on the big step: incorporating!

I’m pleased to have had a tiny role in UXnet’s history. I was there in 2001 for the meeting Lou Rosenfeld convened, and for a period I was a member of the Executive Council helping form its strategy.

However, my contributions paled compared to some, and I particularly applaud Dirk, Richard, Whitney, and Keith (who are all on UXnet’s board of directors) for perservering in their efforts, which also include developing an impressive advisory board.

I look forward to contributing in the future!

You guys are good! Good thing I didn’t take weeks to get this reasonably passable. But I think IDblog is mostly in business now. I don’t really care that much for the design, but since I really stopped coding before CSS became the thing, I mostly only edit CSS, I don’t write it. Then again, most of you probably won’t care, since you’re probably gonna read this via a feed!

December, 2009: Sorry ’bout this. I recently moved IDblog, and while many of the links are fine, some of the older links are busted. And the new server seems to be redirecting these bad links here.

Yes Virginia, it’s been twenty (20!) months, but I’m finally bringing IDblog back. I have new hosting, new software, and have a lot of work to do.

I’ll be messing around with the CSS and will be restoring the old archives ASAP (WP wouldn’t let me install it into a directory that had files, so I had to blow the archives away temporarily).

Another big change will be the subject matter. IDblog started out as a blog pretty much devoted to topics related to information design, but the new blog is going to be a lot broader, a lot more personal.
