Comments

First-time comments are moderated. This is primarily to weed out spam, not to censure comments. That said, it’s my blog. I reserve the right to delete comments that are abusive, hateful, or are otherwise troll-like.

Subscribe/unsubscribe

If you like, you can get new posts hot off the press in your email inbox. Just enter your email address in the form in the column at right.

If you no longer wish to receive email updates, look for the “Manage Subscriptions” link at the bottom of any email from my blog and click it.

This link will take you to a page where you can manage subscriptions to any blog that may be hosted on WordPress.com, not just Weight Maven. To unsubscribe, mouse over the blog name, and click the “Unfollow” link that appears underneath:

You can also check off multiple blogs and then use the Bulk Actions pull-down. If you use this, be sure to click “Save” if necessary.

PLEASE NOTE: I do not manage email subscriptions, nor do I have access to your email address. All subscriptions are managed by the WordPress.com server. To subscribe or unsubscribe, you must follow the instructions above.

Unsolicited requests

I’m starting to see an increase in the number of emails asking me to post an infographic, add a link to my blogroll, or consider a product or service. I am happy to receive email, but I am unlikely to respond to any request that is not directly related to the primary purpose of this blog: nutrition, ancestral health, & food policy as it relates to obesity.

Advertising: I do not accept advertising in any form.

Blogroll: my blogroll is for blogs *I* read. I’m happy to receive suggestions for blogs I might like to read, but I will not add your blog to my blogroll for any other reason.

Guest posts: I’m happy to receive suggestions for guest posts from bloggers I read. I’m also happy to receive suggestions for personal stories from WeightMaven readers (it helps if you’ve commented before). But please don’t email me about guest posts if your motivation is SEO, marketing, or otherwise promoting a product or service.
